Idaho Discovery Museum and the Berret's Move from Boise

About a week after we got home, Brandon got a job in Twin Falls.  We were glad we were available to help them move....and we were certainly happy to spend time with the girls!  We took their Mongolian things to them.  Those things were not unpacked yet when they left Mapleton earlier in the month. 

They seemed to like the camel and the other little things we brought them.  They particularly liked the Kazak bags.  We brought one for each of the girls and a larger one for the moms.  They are all hand sewn and decorated.  It's quite the traditional Kazak skill!

They had tickets to go the Idaho Discovery Museum and we all had a great time.  There was so much interesting stuff there. Of course, Elli loved the RC cars.  After all, she is her father's daughter!  The shadow room was really cool too.  We could pose in any form and the shadow would remain on the wall when the lights came on.  That was amazing!

            

There were so many interesting and different things to do.  This screen with pins on it was amazing.  It felt like a good massage on the hands.  She enjoyed mixing light colors to make new colors.  The exhibits were all centered around scientific things and were very educational. 

Elli was looking for their house through the periscope.  Not sure she found it, but I do think she was able to find the zoo and some other places she could identify. 

This swing was really fun.  We would pull ourselves up and then an air brake would slow our descent.  Elli was a little anxious about doing it for the first little while.  But she tried it before we left and really had fun.  Then she wanted to keep doing it time after time!

    

Brynnie had a great time trying to do everything there was to do!

  The girls especially loved the little supermarket with all the food on the shelves and the shopping carts and the scanner at the checkout.  Brynnie could have played there all day and been perfectly happy!

Another cool thing was the huge bubble blowing machine.  It would make the most huge bubbles that didn't pop for the longest time.  We really liked this as evidenced by the number of pictures taken of the many bubbles we made. Alison was probably the best at this exhibit.

I don't know, though.  Elli was pretty good at it too!

Alan tried to relax his back by lying on this bed of nails!  It actually wasn't all that bad, he said!

It sure didn't look too comfortable to the rest of us!

After all the fun at the museum, we went downtown for frozen yogurt.  It was delicious!

Ellis wanted to sit in the tall chair at the counter by the window!  She's such a grown up girl!

we got there!  The frozen yogurt stop is getting to be a tradition with this family!  

One I think we happy to keep going!

After all the play of the day, we had to get down to business a get the packing going.  Brynnie was thinking this was a fun toy!  We did NOT pack her in the box!

She had to go to school though, and we got to walk her there because it was pretty close to their house. It as a rainy day, but it was still pretty warm and we are not ones to let a little rain stop us from having fun!

We spent one afternoon in the park watching all the new things the girls can do now they are so big.

Elli was pretty darn good at those monkey bars. This merry-go-round was pretty cool. We don't see
those in parks much any more. Boise has some really nice play grounds. I think they will miss not living
here!

Brynnie was not very cooperative in the picture-taking scenario.  We didn't get many good pictures of her.  She was too busy having fun to stop to pose for pictures, I guess.  Elli, on the other hand, was more than willing to pose for pictures and show off her new skills!

After several days of packing and cleaning, the truck was finally loaded and they were ready to head down the road to Twin Falls.  They are excited about his new job and he was able to find a house for them to rent.  They rented it with Ali only seeing it via the phone on a walk through and some pictures.
