There are only two places in the world where rocks ring like a bell when hit with a hammer and one of them is in Butte, Montana. The kids had been there before and we wanted to see what it was all about. So we rode about 30 minutes out of Butte and it was an amazing phenomenon! Oaklie did pretty well whacking those rocks with her hammer.
Harlee was an old pro at what to do! She could hit those rocks with just the right
touch to make them ring so beautifully!
A great picture of Andy and Abbey. There was supposed to be a really good one of the whole family, but someone (we won't name any names) didn't push the button right and the picture didn't make it!
Then Andy decided to do some of his stunts and see what we could catch on film. He was actually pretty good at climbing and jumping from the rocks and the pics were awesome!
up the hill. She loved jumping off the rocks and did it over and over and over again. Oaklie was a little too
young to understand the competition between father and daughter!
They heat their trailer with a wood burning stove and Andy had been busy cutting and
hauling down their winter supply. He said it's great therapy to be able to be outside weilding
a chain saw after a hard day at school and work!
Grammy and Harlee had a great time putting together puzzles that Grammy brought!
And they played lots of games of "Count a Color" over the few days we were there!
Oaklie loved climbing Grammy's legs and then doing a back flip and playing with the funny little fan Papa took.
We were all craving ice cream, so we took a late evening run to DQ where they had buy 1 shake get one for 99 cents! We had to take advantage of that great deal. It brought back memories of Andy's earlier working days at DQ in Springville.
Harlee reading a book to Grammy! It was all about bugs and she read it very well!
