Backyard Camp Out

We wanted to have at least one camping trip with Kimee and Ethan and it was a little late in the season to head up the canyon, so we decided to pitch the tent in the back yard.  Ethan and Kimee were great helps in getting the tent up.,

And hauling all the sleeping pads and bedding into the tent.

There was plenty of room in the tent for all of us!

Then it was dinner time and we lit a fire in the pit in the backyard.
The menu?  Hot dogs and smores, of course!

Then it was time for bed.  Even though we all fit on Grammy's girls camp cot, that's not
how we spent the night!  They stayed in their own beds very well!
Papa's foam bag was also big enough for two, but Ethan slept in his own bag.
Everyone was warm!

The next morning, Ethan helped Papa heat the water for hot chocolate in the Kelly Kettle.
It worked really well and Ethan had a great time "feeding" the fire.
When we asked the kids what they wanted to do on Saturday, the answer was......guess what....
YARD SALES!  So off we went.  This tree swing was our most exciting find!
After yard sales and putting the camping gear away, we
cooled off with one of our favorites "MONKEY BARS".

We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to many more camping trips together!
They are great little campers and good helpers!
