One Saturday while we were home we decided to go to the zoo with Em and Carl and the kids. They had not been before and were pretty excited. It was a great day. It was a little cool and started to rain just as we left, but that was better than being too hot! The twins were so good to stay in the stroller, I was pretty amazed. We tried to get where they could see the animals well, and they also seemed to have fun.
Ethan wasn't too excited about being hugged by Curious George, but Kimee thought it was pretty cool. There was a child safety fair going on while we were there and so we picked up a few free goodies!
Kimee and Ethan were so funny. At random times throughout the day they would just burst forth with things like "this is the best day ever," "the zoo is the best," and "I love the zoo." It was so worth it to hear them having so much and enjoying the day so much!
We saw this pretty cool bird show. While we waiting for the gates to open, the twins got out of the stroller and did really pretty well staying with the group. They are getting so big, and although they don't talk much,
the can really understand well and can follow instructions. They are the cutest little twins I know! Jakie is usually pretty happy while Bekah is a little slower to smile and laugh. We had to watch Jakie every minutes because he is wonderer and we had to make sure we knew where he was every minute!
The bird show was really cool and the kids thought it was pretty neat too!
We saw giraffes, elephants, hippos, bear and lots of other fun animals.
We had a great time. Afterward we went to Carls Jr. for lunch and then the ride home.
We went in their Excursion with them, and Kimee read books to me most of the way there.On the way home, all they could talk about was how cool the animals were and what a fun day we had!
Papa really was there. But it seems he is always the one behind the camera and so is not in many pictures!
