Fall in Twin Falls

While we were home, we took a road trip through Twin Falls, then Arco and then up to Butte, Montana.  It was a beautiful time of year in Twin Falls.  The colors on the leaves were at their peak and it was awesome!

Ellie got out of school early one day and we took a drive down the canyon to a river park.  We all had fun skipping rocks and feeding the ducks.  We hadn't planned to feed them, but I was lucky enough to have a dry chocolate crackle bar in my bag and the ducks loved it!  The girls loved feeding them too!

The park playground equipment is always a fun place to play. 

We were lucky to get any pictures of Brynnie!  She was so busy playing, she didn't want to take time for pictures. Ellie, on the other hand, was always willing to pose!

The leaves were falling to the ground and it was impossible to resist playing in them! So, of course we put a pile of leaves together and the girls jumped in them, buried themselves in them and threw them everywhere!

It was the perfect autumn day and we had a wonderful time spending it with theses two amazing granddaughters of ours!  We missed them so much while we were gone, we tried to squeeze in as many things of possible to do before we head back to Mongolia to finish the mission!

Being as close to Halloween as it was, Ellie had to decorate her pumpkin for school.  So we got to watch her do that.  Brynnley also had to do her pumpkin.  They were very creative and turned out really cute!

Ellie took this pumpkin painting very seriously!  She did a great job!

Brynnie painted herself a little bit in the process.  What a cutie she is!

Papa had to inspect the work!  Of course, anything Ellie did would be beautiful to Papa!

Of course, the girls had to show how well they had learned to ride their bikes!  Brynnie got tuckered out pretty quickly, and Ellie has about outgrown her Christmas from 2 years ago bike!

They modeled the birthday gifts we had sent them this year.  They make a beautiful princess and a darling impish fairy!  Dress up is an absolute must!

And Grammy listened to Ellie read.  She is getting to be such a good reader.  Brynnie really liked playing with the ipad.  They are both very smart little girls!  It was wonderful to spend the few short days we had with them.    We sure love our grandkids!
