The Relief Society in New Darkhan was awesome. Arungerel (Holy Light) was the President. She also spoke really great English and helped us with translation often.
There were usually about 20 sisters in attendance. And they all participated. It was great!
I was asked to teach the sisters how to make a cake. It was fun. Most liked the cake, but others thought it was too sweet!
Some of the sisters had never seen or used an electric mixer. They all wanted to try it out and were pretty fascinated that it worked so well!
LaNice served as a counselor in the District RS Presidency and conducted several trainings for sisters in both the Old Darkhan and New Darkhan Branches.
We did most of the trainings at our apartment and then had lunch either before or after the training.
One Relief Society activity was on health. A member of the Presidency is a nurse and so took the blood pressure of the sisters who wanted it done.
The Mongolians celebrate International Women's Day on March 8. This year was no exception. The decorations were so cute.
And the sisters wanted to do the Heel and Toe Polka after eating.
The members of every branch we have been in have really loved doing this dance. It's so simple, everyone can learn it--young and old alike!
It is so awesome that no matter where we go in the world there is a group of women in the Relief Society who are our sisters, who love the Savior, and who are anxious to serve and love one another!
