Dinners in our Apartment

We had a great time inviting members and less actives to our home for dinner.  We had not previously done that after a bad experience in Erdenet.  However, it was wonderful in Darkhan.  This picture is Bolormaa and her family.  She was one of LaNice's Beehives and just smiled all the time, especially since she started coming back to church.  She said her older sister also knew the church was true, but wasn't meeting with the missionaries yet. 

This is Nyamsuren and Hishgee and their son who is a member but has gone less active.  His wife seemed more interested than he was.

This is Luvsindorj and his family. 

They really enjoyed learning to play UNO!  

We got into the routine of making pizza for each visit and then would serve vegy's and Ranch dip (which everyone absolutely loved) and then Chocolate Cake.  When we asked members what they wanted us to fix, it was always PIZZA!  We got pretty good at making it.  This is Dana, Muugi and their sisters and Sisters Eskelsen and Matthews. 

This was dinner with Daria and Nandia's family.  They are both Beehives and their families are taking the missionary discussions.  They live close to Baji and Suvdaa, who have been fellowshipping them.  Missionaries are Elders Osojama and Gonzurig.

This is another family--the Battumer family.  We home taught them and had invited them over to dinner.  Brother Battumer did not come.  His wife's name is Orkhontuya.  Namuna is one of the Beehives, but isn't very active. 

The sisters taught a FHE lesson on following the iron rod to the tree.  The Elders and Sisters were pretty good about coming to be our translators for these visits.  They also liked the Pizza, and were also able to pick up a few investigators in part-member families. 

This is President Doko's family and his sister and her family and Baji and Suvdaa.  Doko is the District President and speaks some English.  His wife, Endurmaa, speaks very well. 

This little girl is Doko's niece and had been training for several years as a contortionist.  I just can hardly believe the ways she can move her body!  It's amazing! and looks painful, but it isn't!

Our apartment was very small and our living room and kitchen were pretty much one room.  We just sort of worked people in the best we could.  Between the coffee table and our kitchen table, we were successful.
