Munkhbat's baptism.  Elder Gonzurig, Muugi, Dana, Zaya and Elder Chimgunjav. When we came to Darkhan, we thought Muugi was already a member.  He knew everyone and was always there to greet the members.  We were very surprised to find out he was an investigator at that time.  He was baptized soon after we arrived in Darkhan and is a strong and faithful member and priesthood holder. 

This family was baptized while we were there.  It is Luvsendorj, his wife and son.  We ended up being their home teachers and got to know they pretty well.  A great family!

The missionaries in this mission work til the cows come home!

One P-day we went for a little hike through town.  Now the weather has warmed up a little bit, we decided to venture out and see what's here.  This is a cool monument of a Mongolian riding a horse and playing a Murun Khur and not carrying a weapon. It was a pretty cool statue. 

Sister Matthews and Sister Altentsetseg are relatively new to the area and so they went exploring with us.  This is the Celebration Bridge, a pretty suspension bridge--the biggest one in Mongolia!

Then we visited the Buddhist shrine.  Of course, there were lot of pigeons!

We separated from the sisters as they were going to play basketball with the district.  We walked home through the Children's Park.

This is the Monument to Friendship.

When we got home, the district and some members were playing basketball at the court near our apartment.  So LaNice was persuaded to join them.  

She actually ever made a basket or two!

We have a really great district right now!
