National Mongolian Boots!

Alan decided to have some boots made while we were in Murun.  Bayanjargal, the Branch President's wife, worked at the place that made the shoes, so he was able to have them special ordered.  They measured his foot and then increased the shoe mold by about another 1/2 inch.  He picked the style he wanted and we went back in about a week and picked them up.  He says they are very warm and he has never had cold feet when he wears them.
A worker applying the soles by hand.
Bayanjargal sewing boot uppers. Such a neat lady!
The finished product.  They seem so much wider than his foot, but he says they are very comfortable and warm!
