We taught English at the Childrens' Palace in Erdenet. We had small classes but had a lot of fun. A woman named Chimka was always there and spoke English, so she helped us with translation. We didn't start teaching until January. December was too busy with school projects to get students to commit to another class!
We helped the kids make a poster representing their class to decorate the halls at the school. Each class made a poster and it was interesting the ideas they came up with.
We also taught at the church. The classes were larger there and we also taught the Mongolian missionaries. We had some non-members who attended and it was great.
We put together multiple packets so each student could have hands-on teaching. Many already knew their numbers and some English, but hearing it from a native and speaking were very different.
We also had all ages of students from about 8 to 60! Challenging, but fun!
