We have recently been visiting some part-member and member families in the branch. This entry may not be too interesting to some. But these are people we don't want to forget and the blog is my scrapbook for these 18 months, so we are including pictures of the wonderful people we visited.
This is Dolgorjav, one of our RS teachers, and her non-member husband. She invited us and the Branch President and his wife out for dinner and checked with Puje first to find out what food we liked and didn't like so she could fix our favorites. She fixed two rice bowls--one with raisins and one with cucumbers and tomatoes. They were both so yummy. And then she fixed Soyven, because she knew we liked it. What a sweetheart! Her husband is really a nice man and quite a character
The daughter and son-in-law also came over for our visit. Their daughter, Michelle, is a member of the church and comes regularly with her grandmother.

When we stood up to go home after the lesson and eating, the husband commented on how tall I was and wanted his picture taken with this "tall strange American woman!" So here we are. The one on the right is President Batmonkh--a great leader and one who loves the gospel and the members of his branch!
A Visit to Munkhbayer's to help winterize their ger. Munkhbayer is the YM President and a returned missionary. He has a strong testimony of the gospel and is a great example to the youth. He is there for them every week he doesn't have to work, and he has been pretty successful in trading work days so he can be off on Sunday to come to church. His father passed away a few years back and he lives with his mom.
His nephew was visiting and was such a cute little guy. He took a liking to me and was willing to give me a little peck on the cheek. I know the long hair makes him look like a girl, but it really is a boy who has not yet had his hair cutting ceremony!
These are those who came to help. Really, we didn't help much, but it was fun to be there with the family and do what we could to help. Bayersaikhan, second from the right, is also a returned missionary and really knows how to put up a ger fast! I think he and Munkhsaikhon did most of the work! The other two missionaries were only a little more help than we were!
She is such a tiny lady she doesn't have to stoop much to get in that low ger door!
A visit to Bayersaikhan. We wanted to go visit Bayersaikhan in her new house. It isn't quite completed yet and won't have a fence around it until next year. The house is way out of town and will surely have an interesting winter of winds with no fences to act as windbreaks. She was very happy to have us visit and served us hoshuur made of sheep intestines. I ate a few bites and then couldn't eat the rest! Alan was a trooper and ate his entire hoshuur!
We have met so many wonderful people here in Murun and have made many great friends!
